These days there's a fad called
planking that involves people laying face down in a strange place, taking a picture, and posting it online. The origins of this behavior are somewhat disputed, but it's safe to say that it's a relatively new activity (according to Wikipedia it was invented in either 1994 or 2000).
Horsemanning, on the other hand, is a very similar type of activity but it dates to the 1920's. According to it's 'official'
